Chapter One :Chapter 1

Olima Adams, a 17-year-old girl, lost her parents in a car accident. Six months later, she had been living with her stepmother and stepsister, who turned her into a maid and withdrew her from furthering her education.

Seventeen years earlier, Mr. Leo Adams married Mrs. Zoe Nelson, and she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with brown sparkling eyes named Olima Adams. But after Olima's birth, Mrs. Zoe had complications.

Mrs. Zoe cried because she wanted to give her husband more children, but he assured her that his love for her wouldn't change.

Two years later, Mr. Leo spoke to his wife about his intention to marry a second wife who would bear him more children—most importantly, a son to inherit all his properties and carry his name, instead of adopting a son, since Olima is a girl.

Mrs. Zoe grew emotional and afraid of another woman entering her home and turning her husband's heart against her. She spoke to her best friend, Gina Edwards, who accepted and married her husband.

Mrs. Zoe and Gina had been best friends in the past, attending the same high school and living on the island where the billionaire families reside. They remained friends even after Mrs. Zoe married.

Mrs. Zoe never knew that Gina secretly admired her husband. She proposed that Gina accept and marry Mr. Leo.

Gina wasted no time and accepted the marriage, moving into the white mansion to live with them.

But as Gina arrived home, she changed and started quarreling with Mrs. Zoe.

Gina told Mrs. Zoe to leave the master bedroom so that she and Mr. Leo could use it, since Mrs. Zoe couldn't bear another child for Mr. Leo.

Mr. Leo was shocked at Gina's change in attitude, as she dared to quarrel with Mrs. Zoe and even called Mrs. Zoe a witch for refusing to vacate the master bedroom.

Mr. Leo grew annoyed and threatened to divorce Gina the following day. But Gina calmed down, switched back to the good friend she had been to Mrs. Zoe, and begged Mrs. Zoe to plead with their husband not to divorce her.

Mr. Leo told Gina, "How dare you come into my house today and dare to quarrel with your best friend? I regret marrying you, Gina. Olima will inherit all my properties tomorrow. Even if she marries a man and changes her surname to her husband's, she will still be my daughter. So get ready to leave my house tomorrow, because our marriage is over!"

Gina begged Mrs. Zoe to plead with their husband not to divorce her. Mrs. Zoe sighed, as she was the one who had begged Gina to accept and marry her husband.

Mrs. Zoe pleaded on Gina's behalf, and Gina stayed in the mansion with them, but in a separate bedroom.

From that day onward, Gina hated Mrs. Zoe. She avoided speaking with Mrs. Zoe and felt that Mrs. Zoe and their husband had conspired to marry her and bring her into the mansion to show her how lovely a couple they were.

---

One day, Gina finally entered Mrs. Zoe's room and pleaded with her to allow their husband to spend a night with her, since that was why Mr. Leo had married her too.

Mrs. Zoe waited for Mr. Leo to arrive home that night. She spoke to him, asking him to spend the night with Gina in her bedroom to see if Gina would bear him a son—the reason he had married Gina.

Mr. Leo refused, as he was avoiding Gina and wanted nothing to do with her, since he regretted marrying her. But after Mrs. Zoe sent him away, Mr. Leo had no other option than to spend the night in Gina's bedroom, and he made love to her.

---

A month later, Gina remained jealous and continued hating Mrs. Zoe after seeing that Mr. Leo loved Mrs. Zoe much more than her. She had thought Mr. Leo would love only her and ditch Mrs. Zoe for her inability to bear him more children.

But Mr. Leo instead ditched Gina. He refused to eat her food and avoided her.

Gina quarreled with Mrs. Zoe again, which annoyed Mr. Leo, and he finally brought a divorce paper home.

Mr. Leo ordered Gina to sign the divorce paper and leave, but Gina refused, telling him, "I'm pregnant."

Mr. Leo couldn't send Gina away with his child growing in her womb. He allowed Gina to stay in his mansion with them, but on one condition: Gina would start living in the boys' quarter apartment, away from the white mansion, and she would not quarrel with Mrs. Zoe again.

Gina accepted, as she had no other option and didn't want to leave the house.

Eight months later, Gina gave birth to a baby girl named Mia Adams. But Mr. Leo never came to her again to see if they could still have more children—most importantly, a son.

---

Fourteen years later, Gina's hatred for Mr. Leo and Mrs. Zoe grew worse. In her 14 years of marriage, only once had Mr. Leo dared to touch her and make love to her, as he claimed he regretted marrying her.

Gina knew she couldn't leave Mr. Leo's house to remarry. The townspeople already mocked her for accepting to marry her best friend's husband, and her parents hadn't supported her marrying Mr. Leo at first. But Gina had thought Mr. Leo would love her—he didn't, and instead avoided her.

Gina knew that if she went out and got pregnant to see if she could bear a son for Mr. Leo, he would know the son wasn't his. He only accepted Mia to live in the main mansion with them whenever she wanted, simply because Mia was his biological daughter, and Olima also wanted a younger sister to play with.

Gina's heart turned cold. She contacted a truck driver who rammed into Mr. Leo and his wife's car, as she knew they were going to Lemon Hills high school for the graduation ceremony. Olima was graduating from college, while Mia was entering a senior class.

Gina later confirmed from the driver that he had completed the job successfully, and she killed the truck driver to hide her secret forever.

---

Three months after the burial ceremony ended, Gina first moved back into the main mansion that her late husband and his admirable wife had sent her away from. She sacked all the maids and turned Olima into her servant, withdrawing Olima from her tutorial class.

All their family members who had been silent started visiting the main mansion to learn who would take over the late Mr. Leo's wealth and oil company. But Gina was a brutal woman. She arrested all her in-laws and accused them of killing her late husband and his admirable wife.

All the arrested in-laws had to bail themselves out and signed an undertaking note never to disturb Mrs. Gina Adams and her family again.

Gina later contacted Mr. Leo's lawyer to learn about Mr. Leo's will, as Gina remembered that Mr. Leo had told her Olima would inherit all his properties.

Gina could have killed Olima too, but she didn't want her only daughter, Mia, to be alone in the big house without a sister. So Gina decided not to kill Olima, turning her into a lifetime maid, knowing no one would come to Olima's rescue.

When the lawyer arrived, he told Gina, "Mr. Leo's will cannot be changed. The will about the company states that the company should be given to Olima Adams, but only when Olima turns 24 years old."

Gina grew annoyed and thought about how she would change the will to become her and her daughter's property alone.
